Alti-Barometer Pro is in a class by itself. Why?
Because "barometer" apps that make you manually take new readings can't give you the most important function of a real barometer: automatically and accurately tracking pressure and trends at precise, regular time intervals!. And basic altitude apps that convert raw air pressure data to altitude without accounting for weather-related pressure changes can be off by hundreds of feet as the weather changes.
Alti-Barometer Pro rewrites the rules for mobile barometers and altimeters with two unique capabilities:
- Instead of making you do all the work, Alti-Barometer Pro automatically and continuously logs and analyses pressure data in the background using your device's pressure sensor with no intervention required.
- Using proprietary algorithms developed over years of research, Alti-Barometer Pro automatically compensates barometer readings for changes in altitude, and automatically compensates the altimeter for changes in weather-related air pressure.
In combination, these two innovations set a new bar for mobile barometer and altimeter performance and capability.
Make no mistake. Alti-Barometer Pro is a genuine barometer that can keep pace with professional-grade weather stations, and is also a very accurate altitude tracker. The app runs in the background and keeps track of air pressure changes in 15-second increments - a rate exceeding most dedicated weather instruments.
One of Alti-Barometer Pro’s breakthrough innovations is BaroTrak, a feature that continuously compensates for changes in altitude without using power-hungry GPS or Internet access - a first for any mobile altimeter/barometer. Say goodbye to altimeter “drift” due to weather-related changes, and spikes in barometric pressure readings and false alerts time your altitude changes. BaroTrak’s innovative algorithms reset the bar for mobile barometer/altimeter performance.
Because of its unique ability to continuously collect and analyze pressure data while keeping power consumption to a minimum, Alti-Barometer Pro shows you altitude and barometric trends and data for up to the past 48 hours using beautiful, fully-interactive graphics on your iPhone or Watch. And with the optional subscription upgrade, you can automatically save and view daily snapshots of your altimeter and barometer logs.
Alti-Barometer’s innovative solutions turns any iPhone into a barometric weather station. With it’s unique BaroMap feature, Alti-Barometer Pro shows you barometric pressure information across the app's user community on a fully interactive map.
And Alti-Barometer Pro’s "Share" feature allows you to easily share interesting barometer or altimeter graphs through social media, messages, or email.
Alti-Barometer Pro supports all Watch complication styles and iOS widgets to keep you up to date with altitude and barometric pressure trends at a glance. The app's Watch complications and widgets are fully live, which means that you see current data and trends without having to manually refresh the data - another unique capability that sets Alti-Barometer Pro apart from the others.
Alti-Barometer Pro includes a Storm Alarm feature to notify you of large changes in barometric pressure. And outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the app’s climb and descent logs as well as real-time vertical speed and altitude trend reporting.
As an upgrade feature, the app also provides full CSV-compatible data export and import so you can save a record of a hike, climb, or that big storm and analyze or view it later.
We originally developed Alti-Barometer Pro because we missed the altitude/barometer functionality of our dedicated ABC (altimeter/barometer/compass) watches. We couldn’t find an app that even came close, and we decided to create something much better.

Finalmente un ottimo barometro anche per Apple Watch

App che porta la funzione di barometro all’Apple Watch (e all’iPhone) fa bene il suo dovere con la possibilità di scegliere tra barometro assoluto e relativo alla posizione e unità di misura, grafici di andamento temporale e complicazioni per tenere tutto sotto controllo. A special thank to the developer Otto that was very quick and kind in answering my questions and gave me an insight on the great and precious work behind this app: great job!
