This episode sees the return of Dakota Noot and his husband Christopher Velasco, two LA-based artists that have been taking the deepest dive into Japanese pink films. With their podcast, Two in the Pinku, they've been documenting their discoveries, and now Dakota's writings on pink films have started to pop up in releases, such as 88 Film's most recent blu-ray of Tokyo Emmanuelle. With the announcement that Dakota is starting to work on a book on gay pink films, naturally I needed to have these two maniacal experts on to expand my perception of one of the most transgressive and intriguing genres to ever exist.
